GMS Art Field Trip!
Last weekend, on Saturday December 6th, a group of us went on an art adventure around Portland!
Hannah Newman’s exhibition: Neural-Lithic Harvests, at North View Gallery, PCC Sylvania
Field trips are one of the many community building initiatives at GMS. We have been planning this robust trip for a few weeks, and are so delighted that so many of our artists were able to join us for a culture-filled day! We were joined by GMS artists, staff, and volunteers. Can’t wait for the next one!
One stop was the lumber room (419 NW 9th Ave) to see The Wandering Womb, a two-person exhibition featuring works by Isabelle Albuquerque & Louise Bourgeois, on view through Jan. 31, 2026.
Another stop on the tour was Adams and Ollman (418 NW 8th Ave.), to see Ralph Pugay’s ShangriLIEF, on display through Dec. 20, 2025.
Next stop, Nine Gallery! Located inside Blue Sky (122 NW 8th Ave), we saw Penda Diakité’s Bokolo Roots, on view until Jan. 3, 2026.
And finally, we were able to visit our very own Hannah Newman! Operations Manager Hannah has a brilliant exhibition on display right now, entitled Neural-Lithic Harvests, at the North View Gallery at PCC Sylvania.
