GMS Raised Over $120,000 at our Annual Fundraiser!

We are still glowing from DREAM WEAVER, last month’s annual fundraiser event. Thanks to your generosity, presence, encouragement, and belief in this work, together we exceeded our fundraising goal in support of Gather:Make:Shelter.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone that joined us on May 28th at Castaway Portland.

Whether you attended the event, donated from home, volunteered your time, bid in the auction, or simply shared our mission - thank you! Every single contribution helped create a magical evening of connection.

From the dream strips woven into our community loom, to the conversations shared over food and music, we’re so grateful for your participation and belief in us.

🎹 Yoko Greeney and Susan DeWitt Smith serenaded us with classical piano all night long
🎨 We heard from GMS artists Mia Winters, Lela, and Aileen McPherson about their artistic practices
💃🏼 Our artists, dressed in their handmade garments, turned the room into a runway
👗 Outfits from our fashion show last summer were displayed so guests could see them up close
🪡 Community Loom featuring strips of fabric with hopes and wishes written down and woven together
🥗 Mouth watering feast by French Chef Sarah Marguier and her brilliant team
🥂 Drinks from Von Ebert Brewing, Mahonia Vineyards, and Evesham Wood Wine
💫 Guests dressed up to our Midsummer Night’s Dream theme with dedicated whimsy!
