GMS Receives Grant from Portland Parks Foundation for Midsummer Night’s Dream Machine
Gather:Make:Shelter is thrilled to be the recipient of a Portland Parks Foundation 2025 Grant for Project and Program Support for our upcoming fashion show event!
Gather:Make:Shelter and SoundsTruck NW—two Portland nonprofits united by a shared dedication to creativity, collaboration, and community—come together with the Oregon Symphony to celebrate the transformative power of art and the lived experiences of GMS artists.
Blending art, music, and poetry in a spirit of collaboration, this harmonious event honors their voices, journeys, and creative vision—offering an intimate reflection on resilience, healing, and hope.
The centerpiece of the event is a live runway presentation of original wearable art created by GMS artists, with each design thoughtfully paired with live music and/or poetry to reflect and elevate the spirit of the work.
Set beneath the trees of the PSU South Park Blocks, this FREE family-friendly event transforms public space into a moving canvas of artistry, collaboration, and community.
