2025 Staff Retreat at Camp Colton

We recently got back from a very energizing 3 days at Camp Colton for our annual staff retreat.

In addition to reflecting on our programs from 2025, we spent a lot of time visioning for 2026.

On Day 1, we made big plans for the end of the year, went over our Strategic Planning, nailed down the last minute logistics for this week’s fashion show event, and enjoyed delicious homemade meals together all day, ending our evening with games and laughter.

Day 2 was an exciting day of dreaming big! We spent all morning visioning for 2026 programming and activities, and felt so inspired by our collective excitement. On our vision board is: Field trips! Guest instructors! Specialized workshops! Partnerships in Portland and beyond! Off-site exhibitions! Monograph Tour! Murals, and more!

Programs Coordinator and Workshop Instructor Monica led us through a dye process using ice and powder dyes! We loved the process and enjoyed seeing how the mysterious colors turned out the next day.

In our free time, we went on nature walks, hung out in hammocks, and swam in the pond!

Coming together in a beautiful setting provided new energy for all of us. We are so grateful for the magic that happens when we zoom out, let ourselves rest in nature, and put our minds together!
