Midsummer Night’s Dream Machine was a huge success! 💫
We are absolutely thrilled to share that our long awaited collaborative fashion show event was beyond our wildest dreams!
With the help of our amazing volunteers and staff, preparing our whimsical setting was smooth all day long. Fairy lights hung from the trees, a red carpet graced the lawn, and the incredible solar-powered mobile stage was set up by SoundsTruck NW. We were lucky enough to hear some classical music while our artists had their hair and make up done by the talented Katie and Merrin.
We are beyond thrilled with the turnout and response. Over 300 guests (!!!) arrived with chairs and blankets (some folks accompanied by their furry friends!) and they collectively brought a contagious enthusiasm throughout the entire performance.
We’ve been hard at work preparing this event since February; brainstorming ideas, enjoying meals together, collecting fabric, drawing patterns, constructing garments, collaborating with SoundsTruck NW and Oregon Symphony musicians, working with the city on location, receiving generous sponsorship, and planning and making galore!
It was so gratifying to see our artists perform on the runway with such genuine encouragement from you all!
We are so excited to start dreaming up the next magical evening in the park.
