Remembering Jaycob Lambson at our new mural, Jaycob’s Gateway ❤️

Jaycob Lambson, artist, poet, visionary, and dear member of the Gather:Make:Shelter family left the earth on August 25, 2025. Jaycob had been working with GMS for 3 1/2 years and was a deeply loved friend and collaborator in the community. Jaycob’s intricate drawings of maps and mazes have been collected throughout Portland and across the country.

Jaycob lives on in both our memories and in the incredible work that he created; including Jaycob’s Gateway, a new mural he designed that we’ve been hard at work on thanks to generous grant support from @prosperportland, and a collaboration with St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

We will gather to celebrate Jaycob’s life on Thursday, September 18th at 2pm.
We’d love to see you there, everyone is welcome.
