Portland, OR 97209As spring arrives, New Buds offers a glimpse of what’s emerging at Gather:Make:Shelter.
The exhibition highlights new directions and mediums that our artists are exploring, while also introducing several new members of the GMS artist collective. Featured works include paintings, figure studies, bag designs, a diorama, cardboard sculptures, collages, and figure paintings created during a master class series with renowned artist Elizabeth Malaska.

GMS was founded in 2017, intended as a year-long project by artist and activist Dana Lynn Louis. With the fervent support of the Portland community it quickly took on a life of its own. Today we are a 501(c)3 organization continuing to grow through the combined passion and imagination of our community!

Throughout the evening we’ll celebrate the stories and milestones of the last year and look ahead to future growth. We look forward to sharing an evening of delicious food, meaningful conversation, and collective impact in support of Gather:Make:Shelter.
